In
our other lives before becoming camp advisors,
we have been teachers (nursery school, gifted,
and special needs kids), camp directors, and camp
counselors. We have taught classes in parenting,
political action, fitness, ESL, dramatic arts,
leadership training, tennis, and gymnastics. We
are volunteers, civic activists, caterers and
docents.
We have 14 BA's and 7 MA's. We attended
Smith, Wellesley, Wheaton, Columbia,
George Washington, Ithaca, University
of Vermont, University of Mississippi,
University of Virginia, and Edinburgh
College.
Our travels take us to the 50 states,
Europe, Asia, Africa, South America,
Canada, Australia and the Middle East.
We jog or walk 28 miles per day, 196
miles a week. We play tennis, golf,
bridge, poker, race sailboats, do needlepoint
and swim. We drive carpools, cook,
and garden, raise cats and dogs and
care for the homeless.
We are the parents of 30 children,
ages 1-35. Our children attend middle
school, high school, college and graduate
school. They are mothers, social workers,
teachers, conservators, artists, journalists,
documentary filmmakers, marketing and
media specialists, students and babies.
We have worked as consultants for
Tips on Trips and Camps for 153 years.
Over 125,000 families have benefited
from our advice. We spend 58 hours
per day on the phone telling families
about the wonderful summer programs
we represent.
